Mydros is a Greek band from Budapest, founded in 2001. One of the singers and the bouzouki player have Greek roots, other members are Hungarians who fell in love with Greek music at very young age. The band has a repertoire of about 380 songs, mainly laika and dimotika, but also a few rebetiko and modern songs. In the last 21 years they appeared on stage more than 1400 times, mainly in traditional folk dance clubs, tavernas, festivals, weddings etc. In 2011, when Glykeria gave a concert in Budapest, Mydros played the opening act. The band travels a lot to Greece, not only to play, but also to meet and listen to local musicians and gain new musical experiences.
